Goodbye Merlot

Two weeks ago we began a multi-year replanting project for the vineyard, starting with the removal of our Merlot vines. It is a sad event considering how delicious the Merlot wines created by Reynolds Family (some with our grapes) have been over the past several years. Unfortunately Merlot is still suffering from a lack of appreciation in the marketplace, possibly due to the enduring "Sideways Effect" from the early 2000s. In the coming months we will be replanting the former Merlot block with Cabernet Sauvignon, in the hopes of providing more fruit for our delicious Stag's Leap Cabernet wine.

Napa and Sonoma Fires

It is with great relief that we can report our vineyard was not affected by the terrible fires of the past month. Our best wishes go out to our neighbors who were affected, and we hope for a speedy recovery for the entire Napa Valley.

New Releases: Toy Train Cabernet and Merlot

Annapurna is pleased to announce its latest releases, Toy Train Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Developed and bottled by our partners at Reynolds Family Winery, Toy Train exhibits the delicious fruit-forwardness that has come to define Stag's Leap wines. This bottling is very limited and reserved for friends and family.
